TONY FAT HANDS
Anthony Corsaro was born with a pair of sticks in his hands. Rhythmically exploring the timbres of pots and pans since before he could speak, it seemed Anthony was destined to play the drums.
Understanding early on that a career in music was possible, Anthony prioritized music over everything else in his life. From the age of 13 his schedule was filled with weekly church rehearsals and services, wedding gigs, battle of the bands and talent shows, marching band and indoor drumline, taking private lessons from Syracuse's top lesson teachers, and absorbing as much musical content as possible from every source imaginable.
After high school, Tony went on to further his dive into drums and percussion by attending the prestigious University of North Texas. There, and elsewhere, he had the incredible opportunity to play with and perform for the worlds top recording and performing artists, including Kenny G, Candido Camero, Luis Conte, Ignacio Beroa, Andy Narell, Pedrito Martinez, Mike League, the One O'Clock and Two O'clock Lab Bands, and was a recipient of Downbeat Magazines "Best Collegiate Latin Jazz Album" of 2013.
Anthony continues to explore and push the boundaries of what it means to be a professional musician. Composing original music for independent content creators, engineering/producing live podcasts, and recording/mixing/mastering services are just a few other ways he likes to stay active in the music world while still challenging himself. No matter what situation Anthony finds himself in, his unique capabilities of playing to the room and adding the right amount of texture to any situation sets him apart from other musicians in town.
